Why $1?
I used to have the community completely free but found there wasn’t much engagement. I still wanted to provide something low cost and useful for GAMSAT preparation, but it is far more enjoyable for me to run events with an engaged group.
I’ve found that just charging a nominal amount increases engagement and everyone benefits more. Engagement builds activity and I’ve loved seeing more and more members helping each other out.
In addition, it helps cover my running costs for the platform I host it on.
